Obituary of Robert Stonehouse

It is with deepest sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Robert Stonehouse on May 6, 2024.

Dear father of Ayden Stonehouse and Samantha (Nick Rathwell) and Daniel Southworth, and grandpa of Maddy. Predeceased by the mother of his children Rosanne Southworth (2014). Dearly loved son of Norman and Lorraine (nee Dick) Stonehouse. Much loved and adored brother of Colleen Stonehouse (Warren Goudie), James Stonehouse and Janet Rulliere (Antoine). Predeceased by his infant brother David (1963).

Memorable uncle of Sean Stonehouse and Amelia and Arlo Rulliere.

Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Robert was always there to discuss life’s biggest questions and always had a way of making everything seem significant and special. His gentleness, empathy and insight left an imprint in our hearts. His passion for learning new things such as art, painting, woodworking and exploring the outdoors was a testament to his curious mind and creative spirit. There are simply no words to express our sorrow and how much he will be missed.

Robert’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 19 from 12:30 -1:45. A Tribute to honour Robert will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel at 2pm. Reception to follow.
