AFTER CARE

For years, families were left with little or no guidance following the death of a loved one. Dealing with legal, financial and other matters was an added burden at a time when emotions are fragile and focus often impaired. Recognizing a need for advice and assistance, The Pilon Family Funeral Home introduced "After Care" for all of our families. Following the funeral proceedings, Debbie Pierce, our associate funeral director will meet with the executor(s)/family members of the deceased and assist with any and all documentation and issues that need to be addressed. As a former bank manager, Debbie's expertise in financial matters and her knowledge of estate settling allows her to guide families through the "business" of settling matters both with peace of mind and great ease. This is yet another meaningful service offered to families at no additional cost to them. Following is but a brief outline of some of the many issues that need to be addressed:

  • Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security

    -application for income continuance
